About Jazmin
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without pressure, judgment, or having to have it all figured out. I earned my degree in counseling psychology from Mount Saint Mary's University and have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, burnout, life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to help people feel understood, supported, and more connected to themselves as they move through life's challenges.
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches—including CBT, DBT, internal family systems, somatic, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness—but I always tailor therapy to the person in front of me. Some sessions focus on practical tools and coping strategies; others create space to process emotions and explore deeper patterns.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and I don't take that lightly. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I'd be honored to support you. Reach out when you're ready—I'd love to connect.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people’s stories and helping others move through difficult seasons with greater selfawareness and resilience. I find it deeply rewarding to witness clients reconnect with themselves, strengthen relationships, and build lives that feel more aligned and fulfilling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and stress. I use a variety of therapeutic tools—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy and Mindfulness—to meet you where you’re at. Whether you are seeking relief from overwhelming emotions or simply striving for a more balanced life, I am committed to guiding you on your journey to emotional wellness and mental clarity. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here and would appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not linear and it can be frustrating to feel as if cycles continue repeating themselves, however when we zoom out we can see how much our self awareness has grown. This realization allows us to see how we are over time breaking cycles. I often find myself reminding clients, “You may not be where you want to be but you are not where you used to be”.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and laying the foundation for our work together. I’ll ask questions to gather as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about your life, struggles, strengths, and goals. This will help us identify key areas to focus on and start shaping the direction of therapy. We’ll also take time to review expectations for therapy, including the process, confidentiality, boundaries, and scheduling so you feel informed and comfortable moving forward.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am the third of nine children and from a young age have always been someone who was solution oriented. I worked in with the GRYD Program in Los Angeles, while I supported my late husband through his battle with cancer. To say that this experience taught me a lot about myself and my community is an understatement. Through my own journey I have learned how resilient the human spirit is and enjoy holding the mirror for others and assisting them in rediscovering their innate wisdom.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I understand how difficult it can be to confront overwhelming emotions and deep emotional pain, my approach is collaborative, meaning we work together to figure out what’s going to help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control. My role is to support you as you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, empowering you to define your own goals and path forward. It’s an honor to be part of your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you find clarity, healing, and strength.
