About Provider

About Ashley

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 6 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s challenges. I have worked across residential, school, and community-based settings, offering compassionate care to diverse populations. I specialize in helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and self-esteem struggles. I believe in helping individuals discover their inner strengths, develop effective tools to manage emotions, and reframe unhelpful thoughts into empowering beliefs that foster growth and resilience.

I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. My therapeutic approach is transparent, person-centered, and strength-based, grounded in curiosity, compassion, and connection. I use treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Inspired by my journey of healing from grief, navigating shifting family dynamics, and breaking free from generational cycles, I bring empathy and understanding to a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their experiences, embrace their healing journey, and build a meaningful, authentic life.

Get to know Ashley

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of self-discovery, empowerment and healing through an authentic connection.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Anyone willing to take the first step by scheduling is already showing themselves love — and that takes incredible strength.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am excited to support individuals ready to make positive changes, guiding children and adolescents through challenges, and helping families foster deeper connection and understanding.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Risk it to get the biscuit! This is your chance to invest in yourself — to heal, grow, and become your most authentic self. After all, ¿qué pierdes y qué puedes ganar?

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I chose to practice at Thriveworks because their mission to help people thrive and become their best selves deeply aligns with my values as a therapist.

What inspires you?

Kindness, compassion, community, nature, breaking cycles, building connection and empowering others.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect a welcoming and collaborative process where we review informed consent, complete an intake assessment, and develop treatment goals that reflect their unique needs and hopes for therapy.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I work to create a safe and supportive space grounded in empathy, compassion, inclusivity, and non-judgment — and, when appropriate, lightened by a bit of humor.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love quality time con mi familia — nothing beats great food, endless laughter, and a little gaming rivalry. When I’m not outdoors running long distances or soaking up nature, you’ll find me unapologetically binge-watching my favorite shows y novelas!
