About Adrian
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and parents navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, substance use, and intimate partner violence. I understand that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when relationships, family dynamics, and past experiences affect your well-being. I strive to create a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful change.
I earned my master's degree in social work from the University of California Berkeley. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. I have extensive experience supporting youth facing trauma, academic stress, and family conflict, as well as parents navigating the complexities of caregiving while maintaining their own well-being.
In our sessions, we will work to clarify goals, build on strengths, and develop practical strategies for lasting progress. I can help you process past experiences, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and build healthy coping skills. If you are ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I look forward to connecting with you.

"As a first-generation Latino male, I witnessed my parents' immigration experience and saw the complex traumas they endured; this gave me a sense of responsibility to my community and motivated me to develop a more positive male identity."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always been interested in helping others and found myself investing time to support those in need since I was a teenager. When I went to college I started working with children while studying psychology; from that point on I knew I wanted to develop the tools to better support the families in my community.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I find the clients who are most success working with me to be those who feel like they can show up as themselves, in whatever stage of change or reality/ circumstances they may be facing. I feel comfortable working with children of all ages, although I have found much success in developing deeper connections with teens and young adults.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
The healing process is non-linear and more often than not requires some practice in order to maintain our desired goals; however, the process does get easier over time and with practice. There are a multitude of strategies and resources available to support your work in therapy and these can help lead to lasting changes.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
For the first few sessions it's important we get to know each other while learning about your goals and desired outcomes for our work together. It's important you feel comfortable and that we reach a point of trust with one another. Together we will develop a road map to outline our work together, with behavior specific actions you can take and a clear end in sight.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe the most effective therapy practice is client centered and meets the individual, or family, where they are at presently. I recognize we are often in different stages of change when we first come to a session and I believe it is my responsibility to honor that, while encouraging change and progress at a pace that feels right for you.
