About Erika
Hello! My name is Erika and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in behavioral heath since 2009 and have been a therapist for eight years. I typically work with adolescents and adults in the areas of neurodivergence (including ADHD), depression, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges that may affect your life. My goal is to help you achieve your goals. I take a person-centered approach and am genuinely invested in helping you to live your best life
I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. You can expect a non judgmental and safe therapeutic environment.
Taking this first step to explore therapy is your key to empowerment and healing. I encourage you to schedule an appointment to get started right away. I hope to talk to you soon.

"As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I have a genuine understanding of how we are impacted by the toughest of life circumstances, and how to heal to feel empowered to adjust to a new normal."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor after my son was diagnosed with Autism. It was important to me to help others to understand that it is ok to reach out for help and that you don't have to go it alone.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with all types of clients ages 13 and older.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
The one thing that I wish all clients knew about therapy is that everyone struggles from time to time and that seeking help shows strength rather than weakness.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Together we will meet to learn more about your situation and your goals for therapy. We will do this through an initial intake and a treatment plan. This will help to guide your treatment and ensure we are working towards your goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Because of my personal background with ADHD, ASD, and trauma, I am genuinely invested in helping you to live your best life.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Therapy is tailored to each individual client based on your intake and the goals that are identified in treatment planning.
