About Maggie

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker specializing in mood disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. My clients are often high functioning on the outside while struggling internally; managing work, relationships, and responsibilities while battling anxiety, depression, or compulsive coping mechanisms. They want more than symptom management; they're seeking to understand themselves, heal underlying wounds, and build a life that feels sustainable and authentic.

My approach is collaborative and empowering. I don't tell you what to do. I help you access the wisdom and strength you already have. You'll feel supported in a safe space while also being challenged to grow. Together, we shift your focus from what's struggling to what's capable, helping you recognize your own resilience and possibilities.

Taking this step toward healing shows you're ready for real change. The next step is reaching out. When we work together, you won't just manage your struggles, you'll heal the roots of them and build a life that feels authentically yours. I'm genuinely excited to walk this journey with you. Let's begin.

Get to know Maggie

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a therapist because I needed one. My own mental health journey, one I didn't think I could survive or overcome, showed me the power of support, compassion, and belief in possibility. I wanted to be that person for others. If you're struggling like I once did, I want you to know: you're not alone, healing is possible, and you deserve that support.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are ready to show up for themselves—with honesty, willingness to grow, and a commitment to finding acceptance within. You don't need to have it all together. You just need to be ready to explore, be authentic, and believe that healing and selfcompassion are possible.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Healing is rarely linear or comfortable, but here's what I wish everyone knew: it's also often quiet. It's not always fireworks and breakthroughs. Sometimes it's small, steady changes, the way you talk to yourself differently, how you set a boundary you wouldn't have set before, the moments you choose yourself. Those quiet shifts are just as powerful as the hard emotional work. Healing is messy and nonlinear, yes. But it's also gentle and gradual. Trust both kinds.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Expect a gentle beginning. The first sessions are about building connection and trust—getting to know each other before we go deeper. I won't push you to share everything at once. Instead, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you, slowly creating a safe space where you feel comfortable being honest. Once that foundation is solid, we can explore what's really underneath. Therapy is a marathon, not a sprint, and we'll move together at your pace.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My own struggles taught me that healing requires trust, openness, and a therapist who truly centers the client's experience. I practice with those same values—creating a space where you can trust me completely, be fully open without judgment, and where your needs and perspective always come first. That's what I needed, and that's what I'm committed to providing.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I don't believe in a onesize-fits-all approach to therapy. I start by understanding your unique needs, goals, and what matters most to you. From there, I tailor our work together—the modalities I use, the pace we move at, the focus of our sessions. It's collaborative and flexible, always centered on what will actually serve you best.
