About Kennedi
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with 5 years of experience providing counseling and grief support. I specialize in helping adolescents, adults, and older adults navigate work-life balance, major life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and loss. I have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, and sexual identities, and I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel heard and supported.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. My clinical approach is compassionate and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based, strength-based, and person-centered therapies to help clients build insight, resilience, and practical coping skills.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, grieving, or facing a difficult life change, you do not have to navigate it alone. I will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals and support you in building confidence and clarity as you move forward.

"My approach to therapy is treating it like the journey it is. I have a mindful, guided approach that I hope will make you comfortable and promote grace and gratitude to honor where you are at every stage of your therapeutic process."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always had a passion for understanding how our thoughts and behaviors guide our life circumstances. Helping people discover their own connections between where they are and what they do drives me in this field.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with clients who are open to change and welcome new perspectives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that mental health and therapy is not a magic wand, but rather a tool box for success. Therapy can be wonderful if you are open to the work.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Initial sessions are easy going and relatively informal. My goal in the first session is to make you as comfortable as possible and gain background information about you. You can expect a few guided questions, but nothing too intense.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I have a personal history with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have first hand knowledge of how hard it can be to cope while also dealing with every day life.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Each client has a unique set of circumstances that requires a unique approach. Each client will received a person-centered approach.
