About Haley
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with 11 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. My passion for this work began after a therapist supported me during a difficult time in my teenage years, and I have dedicated my career to offering that same hope and healing to others.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Alabama A&M University. My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. I am trained in EMDR and use it to help clients process trauma and other distressing experiences.
I work best with clients who are open to growth and ready to explore change in a supportive space. Whether you are seeking relief, clarity, or transformation, I will meet you where you are and help you build the tools needed to improve your overall well-being.

"As someone whose life was changed by a therapist during my teenage years and who proudly identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am committed to offering others the same life-affirming support and understanding."
Get to know Haley
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to start a career in mental health because a therapist saved my life when I was a teenager. I have dedicated my life to helping others in the same way, and I truly believe it is my calling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I don't think there is any type of client I work better with. I think it's more about the individual and how well we work together than it is about age or the presenting problem.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It takes time and work. Sometimes it is uncomfortable. Sometimes we have to turn over a lot of stones before we reach the right one. If you see it through, it is always worth it.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Together we will discuss what the client would like to accomplish in therapy, and then together we will decide on goals the client is comfortable with. Every step will depend on your feedback.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I decided to start a career in mental health because a therapist saved my life when I was a teenager. I have dedicated my life to helping others in the same way, and I truly believe it is my calling.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
There are many different options for interventions. The route we take depends entirely on what the client is comfortable with. Each step of the way, I check in with the client. We can always switch gears and try something else at any point if the client is uncomfortable or unhappy with the intervention for any reason.
