Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Throughout my journey in nursing, I saw firsthand how transformative it could be when someone receives the right care and support for their mental and emotional well-being. I wanted to expand my ability to help by not only providing compassionate care but also diagnosing, treating, and guiding individuals through their mental health challenges. Becoming a PMHNP gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, connect deeply with my patients, and work alongside them to create a path to healing and growth.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are open to collaboration and are ready to take an active role in their mental health journey. I enjoy working with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, and I’m particularly passionate about supporting those from diverse backgrounds, as I believe in the importance of cultural sensitivity in care
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where they feel heard and respected. The main focus of the session is all about building a foundation of trust, so we can work together to create a personalized plan that fits client's needs.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, waking in nature, or simply sitting in a peaceful park to clear my mind.
