Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always been passionate about helping people heal, grow, and thrive. Throughout my years in healthcare, I witnessed how mental health struggles can affect every aspect of a person's well-being, relationships, and daily functioning. I was drawn to psychiatry because it allows me to provide compassionate, individualized care, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and empower people with the support, tools, and treatment they need to achieve greater stability, healing, and overall wellness.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work well with adolescents and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps. Whether they are facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or major life changes, I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where they feel heard and understood. Together, we focus on building insight, developing effective coping strategies, and working toward meaningful, lasting growth.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am especially passionate about working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or discouraged but are ready to take steps toward healing and growth. I enjoy helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges while discovering their strengths, building confidence, and developing the tools needed to create lasting positive change. Seeing clients gain clarity, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they are more than a diagnosis or a difficult season of life. Every person has strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth, even when it may not feel that way. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes that support their overall well-being.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks mission aligns with my belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, highquality mental health care. I appreciate the organization's commitment to reducing barriers to treatment and supporting clients throughout their wellness journey. Being part of Thriveworks allows me to focus on providing personalized care while helping individuals find hope, healing, and lasting positive change.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity people have to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. Even during life's most difficult seasons, I have seen individuals discover strengths they did not realize they possessed. Witnessing that transformation and helping people move toward greater hope, balance, and well-being continues to inspire me every day.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they feel comfortable sharing their concerns. During the first session, we will discuss what brought them to treatment, review relevant mental health and medical history, explore their goals, and identify areas where support is needed. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, strengths, and overall wellness goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In a first session, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable sharing their concerns. I strive to gain a clear understanding of their experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals while building a foundation of trust and collaboration. By the end of the session, I want clients to leave with greater clarity, a sense of hope, and an initial plan for moving forward.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
My clients need to know that they do not need to have everything figured out before coming to see me. My role is to meet them where they are, listen without judgment, and work alongside them as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals. I value authenticity, collaboration, and open communication, and I believe meaningful healing begins when people feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, listening to uplifting podcasts, and engaging in activities that promote balance and well-being. As a wife and mother, I value meaningful connections, personal growth, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. These experiences help keep me grounded and enrich the compassion and perspective I bring to my work with clients.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
That would be my resilience and potential of people. I genuinely believe that growth, healing, and positive change are possible, even during life's most challenging seasons. This perspective shapes how I approach relationships, challenges, and opportunities, and it inspires me to lead with compassion, empathy, and hope in all areas of my life.
