About Rebeckah
Hello! My name is Rebeckah Preston and I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I provide medication management for psychiatric conditions and work with a variety of clients. My goal is to help you be the best you that you can be!
I support clients by actively listening to their concerns. I believe clients know themselves best and can provide the best measure of how they are progressing. I will never belittle a client or make them feel unheard. We are a team!
According to the motivational speaker Tony Robbins, "Change occurs when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing." Change can be difficult and scary, but working on yourself is always the greatest investment. Schedule an appointment and let's start investing in YOU!

"As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety myself, I have a personal understanding of how difficult life can be with mental illness. Taking the first step of seeking help is worth it, and so are you!"

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric provider after I dealt with my own struggle with post-partum depression following the birth of my first child. I realized I never wanted anyone to feel as hopeless and alone as I felt at that point in my life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with clients that approach treatment with a willing attitude to be honest in engaging with me. I like to involve clients in the decision making because they are the ones that know themselves the best!
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew they were worth it! Taking the first step to seek treatment is difficult, but the process is not as scary as some people think. We are here to help and not to judge.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect an open mind, a listening ear, and a nonjudgmental attitude from the get-go. The first few sessions will be light-hearted, exploring who you are and what makes you tick. As we go, we will delve into the deeper issues, only at the speed you are comfortable with.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Like many clients, I have had my share of struggles in life. There have been many times I felt I wasn't heard or listened to. I want to be the person known for listening and relating to clients.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I take the time to get to know clients on a personal level and learn their likes and dislikes. I have been known to watch a random movie, read a specific book, or research a special topic a client is interested in so I can share that with them and better relate.
