I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNPBC) with a background in nursing and advanced psychiatric care. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD and other mental health concerns. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that supports recovery, stability, and improved quality of life.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I specialize in medication management and treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders. Clients can expect personalized treatment plans, clear communication, ongoing support, and measurable progress toward their goals.

You do not have to navigate your mental health journey alone. I understand that seeking help can feel difficult, and I am here to provide compassionate, respectful support without judgment. Together, we can work toward greater stability, confidence, and wellbeing. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step and schedule an appointment.

"As an African American, I am deeply aware of the unique barriers and cultural stigmas surrounding mental health within minority communities."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner because I believe mental health deserves the same compassion, attention, and quality of care as physical health. My nursing experience showed me how deeply mental health affects individuals and families. I wanted to provide accessible, evidencebased, and compassionate care that helps people feel understood and empowered.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with patients across the life span seeking compassionate, collaborative support for anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, and life transitions. I enjoy working with clients who want to better understand their mental health, explore treatment options, and develop practical strategies to improve emotional well-being, functioning, and quality of life.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Healing is not a straight line, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During your first session, we will discuss your concerns, mental health history, goals, current medications, and what you hope to achieve through treatment.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My nursing experience has taught me the importance of listening, compassion, cultural humility, and treating each person with dignity.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor care by first understanding each client’s history, concerns, strengths, values, culture, and goals.
