About Alina
Alina Lis is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience working as a nurse, with the majority of that time spent in inpatient medical oncology/hospice and substance abuse treatment.
Alina earned her Master of Science degree from Walden University after receiving an undergraduate nursing degree from Rasmussen College. Her approach to care is collaborative and client-centered. Her treatment model involves a holistic approach that, besides psychopharmacology, includes spiritual support, dietary recommendations, exercise, and other evidence-based interventions.
Alina creates a non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic environment where patients feel listened to and understood. Alina believes in treating the whole individual; she strives to create an individualized treatment plan tailored to each unique individual and their life goals.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Once I collect all necessary info, clients can expect to hear their diagnosis and/or differential diagnoses. We will discuss the plan of treatment and/or additional testing if needed. If starting a medication is advised or required, I will educate the client on everything concerning that. Lastly, we may discuss complementary/alternative treatments and coping strategies.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Build rapport, identify and prescribe additional testing if needed, identify goals of treatment, most often prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Adventures with my children.

I'm kind and thorough, I'm here to help and I have your best interest in mind.
Does Alina prescribe medications effective for ADHD? (Non-stimulant & stimulant medications?)
Yes! Alina is a part of the Thriveworks ADHD Clinic and can prescribe medications that are effective in treating ADHD.
