About Courtney
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University. Since 2018, I've provided compassionate, evidence-based care to adults with a variety of mental health challenges. My experience includes working with active-duty military service members and veterans with adjustment disorder, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, as well as providing outpatient care for individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I understand that every person's journey is unique and create individualized treatment plans that support each client's goals.
I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to care. Using medication management, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy, I work with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports symptom management and well-being. I value building a trusting therapeutic relationship through open communication.
Reaching out for support is an important first step. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, heard without judgment, and supported in working toward your goals. I would be honored to work with you as you navigate challenges, build on your strengths, and move toward the changes you want to see.

"I believe that mental health deserves the same care and attention as physical health, and my work with military members has strengthened my commitment to reducing stigma and creating a supportive space where seeking help is seen as a sign of strength."

I've seen firsthand the unique challenges that military members and their families face. Those experiences inspired me to become a psychiatric provider and to help reduce the stigma around seeking mental health care.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to take an active role in improving their mental health and overall well-being.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing takes time, patience, and determination—there's rarely a quick fix. Progress isn't always linear, but every small step forward matters.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Our first session is about getting to know each other and building a trusting relationship. We'll discuss your concerns, goals, and history so we can create a treatment plan together. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As a military wife, I've seen the unique challenges that military members and their families face. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care and encouraging people to seek mental health support without stigma.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe every client is unique, so I tailor treatment to their individual needs and goals. I work collaboratively with each person, knowing that their commitment and goals play an important role in the outcome of treatment.
