About Michelle
Michelle Modlinski is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who manages and treats a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, school issues, and sleep/insomnia. She is passionate about providing compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. As a PMHNP, Michelle's role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, therapist, and medication manager. Michelle completed her Master of Nursing at Wayne State University and her post graduate degree studies at the University of Michigan, Flint.
Michelle has strong clinical skills and a natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. In addition to medication management, she incorporates cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), culturally sensitive, emotionally-focused, person-centered, and faith-based techniques into treatment, as well as motivational interviewing.

Why did you decide to become a psychiatric provider?
I am dual certified and completed by post graduate certificate in psychiatry as many clients had comorbities affecting their mental health that as their needs were addressed other areas improved.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That everyone is unique and important.
What inspires you?
To become the best practitioner and make a genuine difference in peoples lives.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a safe, non judgemental space to discuss their psychiatry concerns and develop a plan of care to meet their goals.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
