Many of my clients seek support with emotional balance, coping skills, medication management, and improving their overall quality of life. My approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment goals.

My approach combines evidence-based treatment, supportive therapy, and medication management to help clients build resilience and achieve emotional wellness. I create individualized care plans in a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported and empowered.

Healing begins with feeling heard, supported, and understood. Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a psychiatric provider because I am passionate about helping individuals improve their mental and emotional well-being. I have always valued the importance of compassionate listening, emotional support, and holistic care. Through my nursing experience, I saw how mental health challenges can affect every aspect of a person’s life, relationships, and overall health. I wanted to be in a position where I could not only provide treatment and education but also empower clients to feel heard, supported, and hopeful as they work toward healing and personal growth.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with adolescents and adults who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with clients who are motivated to improve their emotional well-being, develop healthier coping strategies, and build confidence in managing daily challenges. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open, heard, and actively involved in their treatment journey.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is a process, not a race. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and meaningful progress often happens through small, consistent steps over time. Therapy and mental health treatment are not about being “perfect,” but about learning healthier ways to cope, grow, and care for yourself while feeling supported and understood along the way.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session with me. We will discuss concerns, personal history, current challenges, and treatment goals so I can better understand your needs. In the early stages of therapy, we will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include supportive therapy, coping strategies, education, and, when appropriate, medication management. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and empowered as we build a strong therapeutic relationship focused on healing and growth.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by values of compassion, empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Through my nursing background and experiences caring for individuals from diverse walks of life, I have learned the importance of meeting people where they are without judgment. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported, especially during difficult times. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing holistic, patient-centered care that focuses not only on symptoms, but also on each client’s unique strengths, experiences, and goals.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy by taking time to understand each client’s unique experiences, concerns, strengths, cultural background, and personal goals. I recognize that no two individuals are the same, so I use a collaborative and flexible approach to develop personalized treatment plans that may include supportive therapy, coping skills, psychoeducation, lifestyle strategies, and medication management when appropriate. I also regularly evaluate progress with clients and adjust the treatment approach to ensure their care remains effective, meaningful, and aligned with their evolving needs.
