About Liudmila
I am a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 4 years of experience. I specialize in supporting adults and adolescents navigating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment challenges. My goal is to help clients find relief from persistent symptoms, improve daily functioning, and build emotional resilience through compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs and goals.
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where I focused on integrating evidence-based, patient-centered care with a strong therapeutic alliance. My approach blends medication management and psychoeducation to empower clients in understanding their mental health and making informed choices about their care.
I understand that seeking help can feel overwhelming, and I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way. My goal is to create a warm, respectful, and supportive environment where you feel heard and valued. If you’re ready to take the next step toward emotional well-being, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can begin your journey to healing together.

"As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I have an authentic understanding of how we are impacted by painful life circumstances and how building of new life skills can empower us once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My decision to become a psychiatric provider was driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. Throughout my nursing career, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that mental health has on overall well-being and quality of life. I was inspired by the resilience of patients and recognized the critical need for compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I am passionate about working with clients who are seeking support for mental health issues. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their concerns. My goal is to help clients develop effective coping strategies, improve their overall well-being, and empower them to achieve their personal goal
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One important thing for clients to understand is that healing is not a linear process. Progress in mental health often involves ups and downs, and setbacks are a normal part of growth. It’s common to feel better some days and struggle on others, but this does not mean that therapy isn’t working or that change isn’t happening. Consistency, patience, and self-compassion are key throughout the journey.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The first session and initial phase of therapy center on building rapport, setting goals, and introducing skills. Early symptom relief is common, but deeper change unfolds over time. Ongoing collaboration and feedback keep treatment responsive to client needs and preferences.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My experiences working with diverse patient populations have reinforced the importance of listening actively and respecting each individual's unique background and needs. I value building trusting relationships with patients, empowering them to participate in their care, and advocating for equitable access to healthcare. These principles guide my approach to every patient encounter and motivate me to continually expand my knowledge and skills to provide the highest quality care
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Begin with a thorough assessment of the client’s history, presenting concerns, strengths, cultural background, and preferences. This helps identify specific needs and informs the treatment plan.
Involve the client in setting clear, achievable goals.
Adapt evidence-based interventions that align with the client’s diagnosis, personality, and learning style.
Consider the client’s cultural, religious, and socioeconomic background. Tailor communication and interventions to respect and incorporate these factors.
Regularly review progress and solicit feedback from the client. Adjust the treatment plan as needed.
