About Jennifer
Jennifer Caraballo DNP- PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who manages and treats a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, school issues, sleep/insomnia, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and bipolar disorder. Jennifer enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and across the life span providing comprehensive and compassionate care.
Jennifer completed her undergraduate nursing degree at American International College in Springfield Massachusetts. She then went on to complete her Doctorate degree in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts with a specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Advance degree. Jennifer has strong clinical skills and naturally builds rapport with clients and families.
We all go through hardships and need help both physically and mentally and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Jennifer is confident she will be able to provide the support you need on life's journey and assist you in gaining new perspectives and techniques that allow you to gain new perspectives and provide coping mechanisms. Why did you decide to become a psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric provider because I wanted to help people overcome barriers and obstacles and allow them to build upon inner strengths, provide compassionate care and instill hope while providing a respectful patient and provider partnership.
What types of clients do you work with best?
i enjoy working with all kind of clients and building relationships and partnerships with clients and working collaboratively to meet individual goals and needs using evidence based practice, strength based approach and patient centered care.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with all types of clients and find it a privilege to be a part of your mental health journey. I believe that there is nothing more important in healthcare than partnership and working collaboratively to meet a client’s needs.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Everyone, no matter what, is deserving of love, kindness, dignity and respect.

What inspires you?
My clients always inspire me to be a better person provider and I am always in awe by their inner strengths.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect nonjudgmental listening and a thorough assessment of symptoms and history. No medications will be prescribed as we will be getting to know each other and building trust and establishing goals.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
This is a safe space and you are free to be yourself without judgement and that I am honored to help in any way I can.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Read, cook, spend time with family and friends.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Sometimes, laughter is the best medicine.
Does Jennifer prescribe medications effective for the treatment of ADHD?
Yes - when clinically appropriate, Jennifer may prescribe both non-stimulant (all ages) and stimulant (adults only) medication for the treatment of ADHD.
