Hi, I am a PMHNP with over 30 years of nursing experience. I have a passion for helping teens, young adults, and individuals with special needs navigate life's challenges and feel understood, supported, and valued. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and other mental health concerns who are looking for answers, relief, and possible medication management to help them thrive. My approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard without judgment and to have a safe place to be themselves.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I believe trust and truly listening are the foundation of healing. I work with clients and families to build on strengths, develop practical coping skills, and manage medication if needed, that support growth, confidence, and emotional well-being.

You do not have to face life's challenges alone. I am here to listen, support you, and walk alongside you with compassion and understanding. Together, we will find an approach that fits your needs, including medication management when appropriate. When you are ready, I would love to help you take the first or next step toward feeling better.

"As a PMHNP with decades of experience, I believe in meeting each person where they are, building genuine connections, and creating a safe, compassionate space where individuals can feel heard, valued, and supported."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

Becoming a PMHNP has been a long-standing passion of mine, driven by my desire to help address mental health support for teenagers and young adults, who I believe can be widely misunderstood and unseen.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with teens and young adults, but have experience working with clients from 5 years old to 95 years old. I have a passion for helping anyone, no matter what their age.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish every client knew they are not alone, not broken, and that they do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. Mental health struggles do not define who you are, and asking for help is a sign of strength. It is also okay to take medication as part of your mental health care if it is appropriate and prescribed. You are not weak or less capable. You are strong and brave and more capable than you know!

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During our first appointment, you can expect a welcoming, judgement-free environment where you feel heard and understood. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and treatment options to create a personalized plan that may include medication management when appropriate. My goal is to support and empower you on your mental health journey.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My passion for mental health comes from recognizing the need for greater support for children, teens, and young adults. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and understood without judgement. I strive to build trusting relationships, meet each person where they are, and provide compassionate, individualized care that supports their growth and well-being.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs, goals, and experiences. I focus on understanding the whole person, providing compassionate psychiatric care, and exploring medication management when appropriate. When therapy is beneficial, I value collaboration with therapists to ensure clients receive well-rounded, individualized support.
