Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I believe I was called to serve others through mental health care. My journey into psychiatry is rooted in a desire to support individuals during difficult seasons, offering compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes healing, strength, and restoration.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who are seeking high-quality, structured mental health care and are ready to actively participate in their treatment. I specialize in supporting clients with ADHD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders who are focused on achieving long-term stability and improved functioning.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is a process, not a quick fix. Progress takes time, consistency, and honesty, but with the right support and treatment, meaningful and lasting change is absolutely possible.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we review their history, current concerns, and treatment goals. I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space while developing an individualized plan. In early sessions, we monitor progress, adjust treatment, and build strategies to support stability and overall wellbeing.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by a strong commitment to compassion, integrity, and respect for each individual’s unique experience. Working across crisis, outpatient, and long-term care settings has shaped my understanding of the importance of patience, consistency, and culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor treatment by taking time to understand each client’s history, symptoms, goals, and preferences. I use evidence-based approaches, adjusting interventions and medications as needed, while ensuring care remains collaborative, culturally sensitive, and aligned with each individual’s needs.
