Get to know Hannah

What types of clients do you work with best?

I love to see clients in general. However, I love working with adolescents.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Seeking help for mental health concerns is a sign of strength, not weakness, and it's okay to ask for support when you need it - taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

When I researched Thriveworks, I believed that their vision aligns with mine. My goal is to help people gain access to mental health care so they can have a successful and happy life.

What inspires you?

Several things inspire me: Planting a garden and watching a flower bloom inspires me. Watching a patient go from crisis to homeostasis inspires me. It made me realizes how fragile we are as human and cherish the small moments I have in life. When I listen to the rain fall and the ocean roar, that inspires me. Learning new things, watching people, and listening to their stories inspire me.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect to discuss their reasons for seeking therapy or treatment, their current symptoms and concerns, and their goals for treatment. They will be asked about their past psychiatric history, childhood trauma, and previous treatment.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I am very transparent, and empathetic, I will ask questions to make a DSM5 diagnosis.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with my children.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is my faith and my belief.
