About Sima
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 2 years of experience. My background blends nursing and mental health care, giving me a strong foundation to support individuals facing diverse challenges. Over the course of my career, I have worked in outpatient and community settings, helping clients navigate conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I bring compassion, expertise, and a client-centered focus to every session, ensuring care is tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Walden University, where I received specialized training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. I integrate medication management with supportive therapy, drawing on evidence-based approaches to create treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term wellness goals.
I believe every person deserves individualized care. I take time to understand my clients’ stories, strengths, and goals so their treatment feels personal and effective. My mission is to empower individuals to move forward with hope and confidence, knowing they are supported every step of the way.

"As a mental health nurse practitioner I understand that every person is unique in their own way. I strive to combine advanced clinical expertise with deep compassion for individuals navigating the challenges of mental health."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become psychiatric provider because I have always felt a deep commitment to helping people during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Early in my nursing career, I saw how profoundly mental health struggles affect not just the individual, but also their families and communities. I also noticed how often mental health needs were overlooked or stigmatized, even though they are just as important as physical health.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are ready to take an active role in their mental health journey, even if they may feel uncertain, overwhelmed or discouraged at first. I often work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, ADD, and other mood disorders.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are motivated to explore their mental health and open to collaboration in their care, I specially enjoy working with individuals who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or mood disorders, and those who are impacted from past trauma.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that seeking help for your mental health is a sign of strength, not weakness. Many people feel shame, for, or self-doubt when they reach out for support, but the truth is that asking of help takes courage. Mental health struggles do not define who you are.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In a first session, my main goal is to build a foundation of trust and safety. I want each client to feel heard, respected, and understood from the very beginning.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session with me, I want clients to know that my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe in trading the whole person, not just the symptoms, and I will always take the time to listen and understand each client's unique story. As a Psychiatric nurse practitioner, I specialize in Medication management and supportive care.

On mu time off, I enjoy recharging by spending time outdoors, whether that means hiking local trails, taking long walks, or just soaking up the sunshine with a good book.
