About Monika
I’m Monika Delyser, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than two decades of healthcare experience. I provide warm, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, insomnia, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, and women’s mental health concerns, including premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), postpartum depression and anxiety, and perimenopausal mood symptoms. I provide thoughtful, individualized care in English and Polish and welcome clients of all cultural, religious, spiritual, and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I provide comprehensive evaluations, thoughtful medication management, supportive therapy, and deprescribing when appropriate. Together, we create a focused plan with measurable goals that considers sleep, nutrition, stress, and resilience. I clearly explain your options so you feel informed and empowered
Taking the first step toward better mental health can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I offer a warm, respectful space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. When you are ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can work together toward greater clarity, balance, and lasting well-being.

"As an immigrant from Poland who raised my now-adult son as a single parent, and as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over two decades of healthcare experience, I understand the challenges of balancing major life transitions, family responsibilities, and personal well-being while building resilience and creating a meaningful life."
Get to know Monika
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After more than two decades in healthcare, including emergency, critical care, psychiatric emergency, and substance-use treatment settings, I saw how deeply mental health affects every aspect of a person’s life. I became a psychiatric provider to offer compassionate, evidence-based care that helps adults feel heard, understand their treatment options, and regain stability and hope. As an immigrant from Poland, I also value culturally sensitive care that respects each client’s identity, background, and lived experience.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are motivated for change but may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, bipolar disorder, trauma, sleep difficulties, life transitions, women’s mental health concerns, and ADHD symptoms. My approach is especially helpful for clients seeking thoughtful medication management, clear guidance, and a practical, personalized plan for greater stability, resilience, and well-being.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing is not always a straight path; meaningful progress takes time, patience, and collaboration, and asking for support is a courageous first step toward lasting change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a thorough, compassionate evaluation focused on understanding them as a whole person—not simply a list of symptoms. We will discuss current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep, stressors, daily functioning, and treatment goals. I will explain appropriate treatment options clearly, answer questions, and collaborate on a personalized plan. During the early stages of care, we will monitor progress, medication effectiveness, and side effects, adjusting the plan as needed.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My experience as an immigrant from Poland and raising my now-adult son as a single parent has taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and compassion during major life transitions. Together with more than two decades in healthcare, these experiences have shaped my commitment to providing respectful, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental care that honors each client’s identity, values, and individual path toward well-being.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care by considering each client’s symptoms, history, medical needs, cultural background, values, preferences, lifestyle, and treatment goals. My integrative approach may include supportive therapy, thoughtful medication management, deprescribing when appropriate, and practical strategies addressing sleep, nutrition, stress, and resilience. Through shared decision-making and ongoing monitoring, we adjust the treatment plan based on progress, effectiveness, and individual needs.
