About Marianna
I'm Marianna Jong, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than 23 years of nursing and healthcare experience. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, and major life transitions. Many of my clients want to feel more like themselves, better understand their symptoms, and find a treatment plan that fits their lives. I offer a warm, judgment-free space where we can work together toward greater stability, confidence, and well-being.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I specialize in psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders. I listen closely, explain options clearly, and involve you in every decision so we can create a personalized plan that helps you feel more stable, confident, and in control.
You don't have to figure everything out on your own. I'm here to listen, understand what you're going through, and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you. When you're ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment and take the next step toward feeling more like yourself.

"I know reaching out for support isn’t always easy, so I’m here to listen, meet you where you are, and help you feel comfortable and involved in your care."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric provider because I’ve seen how deeply mental health affects every part of a person’s life. I wanted to create a space where people feel truly heard, understood, and supported while receiving practical, compassionate care that helps them feel better and move forward.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood changes, grief, or major life transitions. My approach is a good fit for clients who want a supportive, judgment-free space, clear guidance, and an active role in creating a treatment plan that feels right for them.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing isn’t always a straight line, and having difficult days doesn’t mean you’re failing. Progress often happens through small, steady steps, and you don’t have to take them alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in, your history, current symptoms, and what you hope to get from treatment. I’ll listen, answer your questions, and explain possible next steps without pressure. Early on, we’ll work together on a personalized plan and check in regularly to see what’s helping.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My years in nursing and healthcare have shown me how important it is for people to feel heard, respected, and cared for as a whole person. Compassion, honesty, and collaboration guide my practice, and I value creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients can be themselves and take an active role in their care.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I take time to understand each client’s experiences, symptoms, strengths, culture, preferences, and goals. Together, we create a personalized plan that may include supportive therapy, practical coping strategies, lifestyle changes, or medication. I adjust our approach as your needs change and based on what is helping you make progress.
