About Linda
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 11 years of experience providing care to adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, mood disorders, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. I offer a warm, collaborative space where clients can feel supported as they work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of the Incarnate Word. My approach is strengths-based and evidence-informed, integrating therapy and medication management when appropriate. I focus on practical coping skills, emotional regulation, and symptom relief to help clients build insight and confidence.
Seeking support is an important step, and you don’t have to navigate challenges alone. I strive to create a structured, compassionate space where you feel heard and respected. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, stability, and overall mental wellness.

"As someone passionate about mental health, I combine evidence-based treatment with a supportive, real-world approach to help clients manage symptoms and improve daily functioning."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a psychiatric provider to help individuals better understand their mental health and access effective, evidence-based treatment. I am passionate about reducing stigma, supporting clients through difficult life experiences, and helping people feel more stable, empowered, and able to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck and are seeking symptom relief, clarity, and practical strategies to improve daily functioning and overall well-being.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not linear, and needing support does not mean something is wrong with you. Meaningful change takes time, consistency, and collaboration, and small steps often lead to significant progress. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive, structured conversation where we review symptoms, history, goals, and current challenges. I provide education, discuss treatment options including medication when appropriate, and develop a collaborative plan. Early sessions focus on symptom stabilization, clarity, and practical strategies for progress.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by values of compassion, respect, cultural humility, and collaboration. I believe each person’s experiences are unique and deserve thoughtful, individualized care. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in making meaningful changes.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care by considering each client’s symptoms, history, preferences, cultural background, and treatment goals. I adjust therapeutic strategies and medication plans as needed, monitor progress closely, and collaborate with clients to ensure treatment remains effective, practical, and aligned with their needs.
Does CLINICIAN prescribe medications effective for the treatment of ADHD?
Yes - when clinically appropriate, CLINICIAN may prescribe both non-stimulant and stimulant medication for the treatment of ADHD.
