About Jenifer

I’m a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with experience providing compassionate, evidence-based medication management. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, sleep difficulties, and life transitions. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, greater emotional stability, and a treatment plan that fits their individual needs. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel truly heard and supported as we work together toward helping you feel like yourself again.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I specialize in thoughtful medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, and sleep difficulties. Clients can expect to be heard, included in treatment decisions, and supported with practical, individualized care.

Reaching out for support can feel difficult, but you don’t have to navigate everything alone. You deserve care that feels respectful, compassionate, and tailored to you. When you’re ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can begin working toward greater stability, confidence, and well-being together.

Get to know Jenifer

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a psychiatric provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and hopeful about their future. I was drawn to mental health care by the opportunity to build meaningful connections while helping people better understand their experiences and recognize their strengths. It is incredibly rewarding to support clients as they gain stability, rebuild confidence, and begin feeling more like themselves again.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who want to feel genuinely heard and take an active role in their care. I especially enjoy supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, sleep difficulties, or major life transitions. My style is a good fit for those seeking a warm, collaborative provider who offers honest guidance and individualized treatment.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish every client knew that healing is not always a straight line, and needing support is never a sign of weakness. Progress can happen through small, meaningful changes, and you do not have to have everything figured out before asking for help. With patience, honesty, and the right support, feeling better is possible.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

I will take time to understand what brings you to care, your symptoms, health and medication history, current challenges, and treatment goals. You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where questions are welcome. Together, we will develop an individualized plan, then use early follow-up visits to monitor progress, address concerns, and make thoughtful adjustments as needed.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by empathy, respect, honesty, and the belief that every person deserves to be treated as more than a diagnosis. My nursing background has taught me the importance of listening closely, considering the whole person, and meeting people where they are. I value collaboration and strive to ensure clients feel informed, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I begin by listening carefully to each client’s concerns, experiences, strengths, preferences, and goals. I consider the whole person including physical health, relationships, daily life, and cultural background when developing care. Treatment is collaborative and flexible, with ongoing check-ins so we can adjust the plan based on progress, feedback, and changing needs.
