I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who believes mental health care works best when it feels human, supportive, and collaborative. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults facing anxiety, depression, mood instability, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions. Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed or stuck and wanting clarity, balance, and practical strategies to feel more like themselves again. My approach blends thoughtful medication management with therapy-informed care and whole-person wellness.

I take a down-to-earth approach focused on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms. I specialize in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and complex life stressors, combining thoughtful medication management with therapy-informed guidance. Clients can expect a supportive space and practical tools to help them feel more balanced and empowered.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, you’re not alone, and support can make a real difference. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take the next step toward feeling more grounded and well.

"As someone who values genuine connection and collaborative care, I approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect, working alongside you to understand your experiences and support meaningful, lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I chose psychiatry because I’ve always been drawn to the “why” behind what people feel and how they cope, and I wanted to be the kind of provider who helps people make sense of their experiences without judgment. Mental health struggles can be isolating, especially when your background or community doesn’t talk openly about them, and I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone finally feels understood. Becoming a psychiatric provider allows me to combine compassion with clinical skill, helping clients find relief, build practical tools, and feel more in control of their lives again.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who want to feel truly heard and are looking for care that feels supportive, honest, and practical. I often help adolescents, adults, and older adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, emotional ups and downs, trauma, ADHD, or big life changes. Many are simply trying to feel more like themselves again and want guidance that feels steady, realistic, and compassionate.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish every client knew is that healing isn’t about being “fixed” or having everything figured out, it’s about learning to understand yourself with more compassion and building skills at your own pace. Progress can be gradual, and that’s okay; showing up and being honest is often where the real change begins.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation where I take time to really understand what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for. We’ll talk through your concerns, your history, and what’s worked or hasn’t before, without pressure or judgment. In the early stages, my focus is on building trust, clarifying goals, and creating a plan that feels manageable, collaborative, and tailored to you.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by values of empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe that feeling seen and understood can be deeply healing, especially for those who have felt misunderstood or overlooked. I’m also grounded in the belief that growth happens when care is collaborative, culturally aware, and compassionate, meeting people where they are while supporting meaningful, sustainable change.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy by truly listening first, getting to know your story, your strengths, and what matters most to you. I adapt my approach based on your goals, pace, cultural background, and what has or hasn’t worked in the past, rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we adjust strategies as you grow, making sure care always feels relevant, supportive, and aligned with your needs.
