Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner out of a deep desire to support others in their most vulnerable moments and to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. I was drawn to the unique role of a psychiatric nurse practitioner where medical knowledge, therapeutic insight, and human connection come together. Witnessing the profound impact that compassionate mental health care can have on a person’s life inspired me to pursue advanced training and dedicate my career to helping individuals find clarity, stability, and hope.
