I’m Eugenia Brown, a board\-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a master’s degree from Chamberlain University and a nursing background that includes emergency care\. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma\-related symptoms, and life transitions\. Whether you’re seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, better focus, or greater stability, I offer compassionate care and work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs and goals\.
I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive conversation and practical coping strategies for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns. I listen closely, explain your options, and make treatment decisions with you, monitoring progress and adjusting care to support your goals.
Seeking support can feel overwhelming, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. I offer a welcoming space where you can share your concerns without judgment. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can work toward your goals together.

"I believe you deserve to feel heard and understood, and as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that respects your experiences, supports your goals, and helps you navigate life’s challenges."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I wanted to help people feel heard, understood, and supported through mental health challenges. My nursing background reinforced my belief that emotional and physical well-being are closely connected. I’m committed to providing compassionate care, helping clients understand their treatment options, and working together toward changes that matter in their everyday lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, and I value the opportunity to connect with each person as an individual. I enjoy listening, getting to know people, and helping them navigate their challenges. My goal is for every client to feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together toward their goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I want clients to know that healing takes time, and progress can include both good days and difficult ones. You don’t have to have everything figured out before seeking help. Your concerns deserve to be heard, and we can work together to find an approach that fits your needs, one step at a time.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first appointment, I focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to care. We’ll discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and goals. I’ll explain treatment options, answer your questions, and develop a plan with you. Early follow-up visits focus on how you’re feeling, your progress, and any medication concerns or side effects.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Compassion, respect, and listening closely guide my practice. I enjoy connecting with people and learning what matters to them. I recognize that each person brings different experiences, beliefs, and strengths, and I want every client to feel comfortable asking questions and taking an active role in their care.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care by listening to each client’s concerns and learning about their experiences, strengths, preferences, and goals. Together, we choose treatment options and practical coping strategies that fit their daily life. I welcome feedback and adjust our approach as their needs change, so clients remain active partners in their care.
