Get to know Cathy
Why did you decide to become a psychiatric provider?
Mental health stigmas still exist in many communities, causing many of these communities' mental health needs to go unmet. Seeing lives changed with treatment inspired me to reach as many of these people as possible.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Everyone is different. There is a never a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Clients and providers must work together to find the most appropriate options for each client individually.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by people. No matter the age of the person or where they are in their life's journey, it is always interesting to learn of their unique insights and perspectives on life.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
A relaxed, nonjudgmental atmosphere where we will begin to create the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
