About Meredith
Hi, I’m Meredith, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with six years of experience supporting adults (18+) navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal thoughts, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, emotion regulation difficulties, and struggles with self-esteem. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally responsive, and social justice-oriented. I value the therapeutic relationship and aim to support both personal growth and genuine connection.
I draw from evidence-based approaches, includingDialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused Therapy, & Motivational Interviewing. I practice from a warm, relational, & strengths-based framework that honors your lived experience while helping you build practical skills.
I know that finding the right therapist can feel daunting. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can deepen self-awareness, process difficult emotions, and begin to release beliefs or narratives that have diminished your sense of worth. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out.

"As your therapist, I aim to create a safe, judgment-free environment to allow for both individual growth and the growth of a strong therapeutic relationship."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Throughout my life, I have found myself gravitating towards spaces and opportunities that would allow me to connect with, and support others. I leaned on my intuition, my aptitude, and my genuine desire to reduce suffering in order to foster mental wellness. As a young person, I channeled my frustration about social norms and inequities into advocacy work. It became clear to me that additional education and training would allow me to do meaningful work, in a more impactful way. My desire to heal and grow from my own painful life experiences, coupled with a compassionate disposition, solidified my decision to join this helping profession.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work with adults (18+) who are seeking counseling for depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, diculty with emotion regulation, and the need to rebuild self-esteem.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are curious about themselves, open to developing new skills or ways of being, and are motivated to learn and to grow.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish that clients knew that we all experience times of struggle and uncertainty. Allowing grace for ourselves during this time is a strength, as is pursuing therapy.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because it allows me to build long-standing, meaningful relationships with my clients and provide consistent, supportive care.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the vulnerability and courage clients bring to therapy, as well as the tenacity and resilience they demonstrate as they navigate stress, trauma, and personal challenges.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere where we can begin to build rapport.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I aim to lay a strong foundation from the very first interaction, while gaining a sense of the challenges that each client faces, and collaboratively outline goals for our work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I prioritize open and honest communication and value connection and mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. I balance humor with thoughtfulness, and I am dedicated to supporting you as you reach your therapeutic goals.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of the counseling room, I love spending time outdoors. I find joy, connectedness, and a sense of calm when backpacking in the North Cascades, paddle boarding on the Salish Sea, or simply walking through one of Seattle's beautiful parks. I also value time spent with my family and friends, and any opportunity to travel and explore new places.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I consistently practice being open minded, genuine, and kind, and I thrive on adventure and spending time in nature.
