About Tiffany
Dr. Tiffany Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 6 years of experience. She specializes in treating trauma and understands how traumatic events can impact our mental health. Tiffany typically treats children, teens, adults, and seniors with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and major life issues/transitions.
In sessions, she uses culturally-sensitive (CST), solutions-focused brief therapy (SFBT), reality therapy (RT), and much more. Tiffany is perfect for individuals who have experienced some type of trauma within their lifetime.
Dr. Tiffany Jackson completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Old Dominion University. She also earned a Master's and Doctorate degree at Liberty University.
Most people have experienced trauma at some point in their lives. Tiffany is confident she can help assist and support you as you work through trauma and learn how past experiences can play a role in current mental health symptoms. She looks forward to seeing you in your first session together.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor when I realized that a lot of people would come to me and discuss their issues and look to me for clarity. I started to realize that I was good at listening and providing a non-judgmental response to those individuals.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with children and adults. I like working with anyone who is struggling and willing to make life changes.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with individuals who want to make changes.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
A lot of situations are temporary and with hard work people can make the necessary changes.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to come to Thriveworks due to the good things I have heard about the company.
What inspires you?
My children and my family inspire me to do my best each day.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session, clients can expect to share a bit about themselves, what brought them to therapy, and discuss the main issues that need to be worked on first.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to understand the clients current issues as well as get to know them some.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
Client should know that I am flexible and willing to fit in each client as best as I can.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I spend time with my children and family. I also am currently working on a dissertation.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am a genuine person who is responsible, on-time, and loves helping others.
