Sean Raymond is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 5 years of experience. He has worked in community-based settings with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. Sean has experience treating clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger management, impulse control, family conflict, attachment issues, stress management, and trauma.
Sean received his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University. He utilizes an eclectic and person-centered approach to meet each client’s needs and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My whole life I have been driven to help others. Throughout my schooling, I came to realize my ability to help individuals heal from wounds that cannot be seen.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have experience with individuals from a diverse background and ages. I have found success with clients who are willing to reflect on their own habits and choices. I put an emphasis in helping others feel heard and understood.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with individuals who are motivated to grow, improve and change challenging aspects of their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Change does not occur overnight, but it is possible with hard work and focus.

What inspires you?
I am inspired to help the next client and to get one percent better every day.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
The first session is an opportunity to meet one another, to build rapport, and to develop an understanding of what you are struggling with and want to get out of therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to begin developing trust in our relationship, and develop goals to work on during our work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am eager to walk alongside you on your journey for growth and change.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and our dog. I enjoy cooking, exercising, traveling, and watching sports. I enjoy planning an upcoming trip to a new location with my wife or to visit distant friends.
