About Michelle
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 34 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. I specialize in trauma-informed care, grief, emotional stress, anticipatory loss, and navigating difficult transitions. I create a calm, compassionate space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered as you move toward healing. My goal is to help you feel grounded, validated, and safe as you explore what you need most.
I earned my master’s in social work from Radford University. I individualize my approach to support specific needs, drawing from warm, collaborative, and strengths-based practices. I provide a supportive environment where you can begin to ease stress, work through difficult emotions, and strengthen your ability to cope in meaningful and sustainable ways.
I am here to support you, and when you feel ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you begin or continue your healing journey. My focus is on helping you feel seen, capable, and supported as you take steps toward greater emotional well-being and personal resilience.

"As one who understands the impact of overwhelming or distressing life events, my goal is to offer a calm, safe space where healing feels possible and supported."

People who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, impacted by a recent loss, or major life change and are looking for a safe place to explore their emotions.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
There is no one size fits all approach-we are individuals and our journey to healing needs to be tailored to our individual needs.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
We will spend time getting to know one another and identifying your needs/concerns/goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Years of working with individuals facing illness, trauma, and grief have strengthened my belief in the importance of presence, empathy, and nonjudgement. These values inform my approach and remind me that meaningful healing begins with feeling genuinely cared for.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I identify what matters most to each client then individualize therapy using modalities that best support the goals they have identified.
