About Provider

About Marlon

I am Marlon Haskins, LPC (BS, MEd, MA). I support adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and midlife transitions using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I also serve neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and integrate faith-based care when desired.

I empower adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and midlife transitions to achieve lasting stability. Using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness - with optional faith-based integration - I tailor care to your unique values. Expect a structured, compassionate space focused on building practical skills, rebuilding routines, and real growth.

Navigating life's transitions and mental health challenges requires courage, but you do not have to walk this path alone. Together, we can build practical skills, rebuild routines, and foster lasting recovery aligned with your values. When you are ready to regain confidence and take the next step toward healing, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

Get to know Marlon

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a therapist because clinical work is truly what I love to do. I deeply understand how difficult it can be to find a safe, genuinely empathetic space where you feel heard, validated, and supported through life’s complexities. My goal is to bridge evidence-based psychological science with authentic human connection - empowering you to process underlying trauma, tap into your innate resilience, and develop practical, lasting strategies for emotional well-being.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Anxiety, Depression.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that healing is not a linear path, nor is therapy a quick fix where the clinician 'cures' the client. Therapy is a collaborative partnership where true transformation occurs through the intentional, daily choices you make outside of our sessions. Experiencing discomfort, heightened emotions, or temporary setbacks does not mean you are failing or regressing; rather, it often indicates that you are actively confronting deeply ingrained patterns and stepping outside your comfort zone. Real, lasting mental health progress requires selfcompassion, patience, and the understanding that feeling worse before feeling better is frequently a normal part of the process.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our initial session together, my primary focus is to establish a warm, non-judgmental, and psychologically safe environment where you feel genuinely heard and supported. We begin by discussing confidentiality, practice policies, and therapeutic boundaries to ensure you have complete clarity and agency in your care. From there, we conduct a collaborative intake evaluation to explore the primary concerns bringing you to therapy, current life stressors, relevant historical background, personal strengths, and existing coping strategies. Throughout the early stages of therapy, we work as an active team to demystify the therapeutic process, clarify your personal values, and define meaningful, personalized treatment goals. You can expect a structured yet flexible approach where we balance empathetic listening with evidencebased interventions, ensuring we proceed at a pace that honors your comfort and readiness for change.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice as a therapist is deeply informed by the core values of authenticity, empathy, cultural humility, and human connection. Having navigated my own personal transitions and life challenges, I bring a grounded, compassionate perspective to the therapeutic space. I recognize that reaching out for support requires courage, and I strive to cultivate a nonjudgmental, safe environment where clients feel truly heard, valued, and empowered.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

My approach to mental health care is warm, collaborative, and firmly grounded in evidencebased practice. I believe therapy is a partnership where your unique strengths, values, and lived experiences take center stage.
