About Madison
Hi, I’m Madison Powell, Resident in Counseling, MSEd. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, and major life transitions. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're looking to heal from past experiences, build healthier coping skills, strengthen your relationships, or feel more confident in managing life's challenges, I aim to provide a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered, and narrative approaches, I help clients identify patterns, reframe unhelpful beliefs, build resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change and personal growth.
Seeking support takes courage, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate environment where you feel empowered to grow, heal, and move forward with confidence. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I would be honored to be part of your journey.

"I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. "
Get to know Madison
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Therapy changed my life when I was younger and struggling with my own mental health. Now, I want to pay that forward.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with clients who are curious and ready to embrace change. Together, we can explore challenges, build on strengths, and create lasting progress aligned with your values and goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is a form of self care. It is simply a tool to help you understand yourself, process difficult emotions, and achieve your goals.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
My goal is to get to know you as a whole person, as well as the challenges that brought you to therapy. We'll talk about what led you to seek support, what you've been experiencing recently, and what you hope to gain from our work together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to be treated with respect and compassion regardless of their background, identity, or current challenges. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can speak openly, feel heard, and explore their concerns at their own pace. Seeking support often requires vulnerability, and I view it as a privilege to be trusted with someone’s story.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking the time to understand each client's unique experiences, goals, strengths, and challenges. I use a collaborative approach to create a treatment plan that fits your individual needs and priorities.
