About Lisette
Lisette Edwards is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of counseling experience working in a variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, schools, community mental health, and crisis counseling. She has treated adults, adolescents, and children seeking help with mood disorders, severe mental illness, PTSD/ trauma, anxiety, stress management, relationships issues, substance use, adjustment disorders, and life transitions.
Lisette studied at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA for her Bachelor’s of Arts degree and Argosy University in Arlington, VA for her Master’s degree in Community Counseling. She combines an integrative approach including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based counseling with creativity, critical thinking, flexibility, and collaboration to meet the individual needs of each client. Lisette believes in bringing authenticity, caring, and a little humor to counseling to develop a safe space and encourage growth and healing.
Lisette seeks to create a caring and genuine therapeutic relationship to help clients reach their goals in treatment, promote wellness, and create a meaningful life in which they can thrive. She looks forward to supporting and empowering you on your journey.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I wanted to help people on an individual basis and be a part of the journey in improving themselves and their lives.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
That anyone has the capacity for change.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to get to know them, hear their story, and help them feel comfortable with the counseling process.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love to go hiking, read, and spend time with family and friends.
