I am an LPC with over 4 years of experience and 10 years of experience in nursing. I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Through counseling and nursing, I have cared for people with mental health issues, including PTSD, addictions, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and palliative and hospice care. I have lived in many European and Middle Eastern countries, which means I have interacted with a wide variety of cultures and ethnicities. As a result, I understand that everyone has varying beliefs and values and appreciate that uniqueness.
I am the wife of an Army veteran, and everyone in my family has served in the military. As a result, I am skilled at handling stressful situations, especially trauma and PTSD. I am certified in EMDR therapy. My personal experiences, combined with my professional trauma training, enable me to provide the support that my clients need.
Tough times are usually only here for a season, but you can overcome these difficulties because you have an ally in me. We can work together, at your own pace, to manage your concerns and find solutions that align with your goals. I look forward to collaborating with you as you take this significant step toward growth and healing.

"I have endured many hardships that have equipped me to show compassion for my clients and to empower them to overcome life’s challenges. I have also learned that barriers are just in our minds, and they can keep us from moving from a victim mentality to an overcomer mentality."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I am passionate about empowering people not only to make it through difficult circumstances but also to find hope, thrive, rise above their circumstances, find meaning in life, and be content with themselves.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I love to work with clients who understand that they need wise counsel in order to succeed in certain areas of their lives.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Since everyone has unique life experiences, coping mechanisms, and emotional triggers, I focus on providing personalized care while considering each individual’s current symptoms, personal goals, and medical history. This also allows me to adjust my techniques to ensure they resonate with each patient. I encourage clients to identify their needs, monitor their progress, and to be involved in decisions regarding their health.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
They can expect to find someone willing to listen, who is nonjudgmental, shows genuine compassion, and is ready to walk with them on their journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that therapy and the mental health process take time, and that healing is possible. Clients also need to realize that they should not wait for a major emergency to seek therapy and that it’s a valuable tool for everyday growth. Clients should know that difficult feelings are usually normal reactions to stressful situations rather than signs of a broken mind.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value faith, honesty, and integrity. I focus on the whole person rather than trying to check off a list of tasks. I use an eclectic approach to counseling, which allows me to utilize a variety of orientations in order to best meet the needs of each client. My primary goal is to always benefit the client while causing no harm.
