About Lashae
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 18 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and families. I specialize in emotional dysregulation, anger management, trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns, including aggression, treatment resistance, and risk-taking behaviors. Many clients seek therapy to reduce conflict, manage stress more effectively, and build resilience and hope for the future.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. My clinical approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients understand patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard and empowered. Together, we work toward emotional regulation, self-awareness, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges. If you are ready to begin your healing journey, I welcome the opportunity to support you.

"I show up as a warm, grounded therapist who believes healing happens when you feel genuinely seen and understood."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a place where they can show up exactly as they are and still feel valued and capable of growth.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I’m a strong fit for clients who need a gentle, steady presence as they work through past experiences, rebuild trust in themselves, and learn tools to feel more grounded and in control.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy; you just have to be willing to be honest and open to growth.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we get to know each other, explore what brought you to therapy, and begin identifying the goals that matter most to you; in the early stages of our work, we’ll move at your pace, build trust, and start developing practical tools and insights that help you feel more supported, understood, and empowered in your daily life.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My work is shaped by a deep belief in compassion, authenticity, and the power of feeling truly heard; I value creating a space where people don’t have to perform or pretend, and my own experiences with navigating change and building resilience help me show up with empathy, patience, and a steady presence as clients learn to trust themselves and their healing process.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by getting to know who you are, what matters to you, and how you naturally move through the world, then blending approaches like CBT, DBT, Person‑Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in a way that fits your goals, your pace, and your lived experience so you feel supported, understood, and genuinely empowered throughout the process.
