Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because of my passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. After over a decade in education, I saw firsthand how deeply personal struggles—such as trauma, anxiety, and grief—could affect an individual's overall well-being and academic success. This inspired me to transition into counseling, where I could provide more direct support to those seeking healing, understanding, and growth. My goal is to create a safe, empathetic space where clients can feel heard and empowered to move forward.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I am passionate about working with both adolescents and adults who are seeking to better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and build resilience for the future.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are ready to make positive changes, even if they’re uncertain about how to get there. I find great fulfillment in supporting individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, or trauma, especially those who may feel stuck or overwhelmed.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not a linear process, and it’s okay to take small steps. Progress might feel slow at times, but every effort is meaningful. It’s also important to remember that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. No matter where you are in your journey, there’s always room for growth, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because it offers great flexibility and accessibility for my clients. I recognize that life can be busy and overwhelming. Thriveworks offers in-person and virtual appointments, making it easier for individuals to get the support they need.

I am inspired by the resilience of many who seek help and keep moving forward.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I will start by getting to know you—understanding your story, your challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
The first session is about building trust, creating a safe space, and laying the foundation for future work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session, clients should know that I am genuinely committed to creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and supported.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my free time, I enjoy gardening—it’s a great way to relax and connect with nature. I’m also an avid reader, whether it’s a captivating fiction novel or something focused on personal growth and counseling. Spending quality time with friends and family is something I truly value, as I believe in the healing power of connection and shared laughter.
