Jasmine is great and I love how relatable she is and seems like I'm chatting with a friend. She seems understanding and not judgey at all. She seems interested in what I have to say and asks questions. She seems like she cares and wants to help.

Jasmine Cupin-Davenport is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 3 years of experience working with children and adults in behavioral and mental health. She works with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and substance abuse. Jasmine received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. Jasmine's diverse background gives her a better understanding of the impact of cultural factors on mental health. She strives to create an individualized working therapeutic relationship with her clients.

Jasmine's approach to treatment is person-centered with the goal of promoting self-empowerment. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to address issues related to thought processes, feelings, and behaviors. She also utilizes trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to identify triggers, process traumatic experiences, and develop healthy coping skills.

Jasmine believes that therapy does not have a one-size-fits-all approach, as people experience life in their own unique way. Whether a client is new to therapy or has worked with another professional in the past, Jasmine's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to express themselves and work through life’s challenges at their own pace.

Get to know Jasmine

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

Nothing feels more organic than being able to work with people in a human level. Plus, the best part about it - is that I get to learn more about myself while helping others.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

It's okay to shop around for a therapist. Like you, we are people too, with different backgrounds, personalities, treatment approach, and energy levels. Find one that's best suited for you and your personal growth.

What inspires you?

Growth and resilience.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

A laid-back and nonjudgmental environment. Your session is all about you, we will move at your own pace.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Our first session is where we will get to know each other, identify presenting problems, and establish expectations as we move forward with our working relationship.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I breed and sell Crested Geckos!
