Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor after my own experiences in therapy and finding that my own skills of listening and empathy could be used to help others.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients that are in counseling to ready to learn and seek solutions for what they are coming to therapy for. I am ready to put in as much effort as a client is to help them find a path to wellness.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited most to work with children as I learn the most from working with them.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they have the power to feel better within them.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I choose to practice at Thriveworks because it is a company that allows me to practice with a variety of clients with the methods I was taught in school as well as the freedom to be creative with my techniques.
What inspires you?
My clients constantly inspire me to learn more about my craft as a counselor and learn new techniques to help them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
They can expect a normal person that is not your typical therapist that will make them feel at ease with entering into the therapeutic process. I may look young but I have plenty of experience and also seek to learn from you.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I like to establish goals and objectives with a client so we know what we want to accomplish in our further sessions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I like to read science fiction, fantasy, and educational books as well as watch a variety of television shows on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus.
What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
My quirky personality defines me and is something many of my clients say that they enjoy the most about me because they feel like I am more "real" and "relatable."
