Get to know Elizabeth

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor to be that listening ear and advocate to individuals who need someone.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I feel my strength lies in working with those of any age who have experienced addiction either personally or within relationships.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am excited to continue working with individuals of any age who are struggling with stressors and barriers in their daily lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

I wish everyone knew that we all go through different events in our lives that make us who we are, sometimes being more than we can handle, which leads to different coping techniques. That does not mean that you are wrong; it just means that you need a little help to be the best version of you for yourself.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I choose to practice at Thriveworks because I want to work with individuals who seek to create a balance personally and professionally.

What inspires you?

Witnessing a client accomplish a goal they felt was unreachable at one point.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Our first session will be about rapport building. I believe the most important factor of being vulnerable is having a safe space with someone you can be your true self around to know if it is a good fit.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Throughout the first session, rapport building will be the main focus while creating tentative goals.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

I have worked with many different populations during some of their most traumatic days and was able to provide support as needed. I am here for you and will meet you where you are at, no matter what.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Most often, I will be hanging out with my newborn and animals!

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is my family.
