Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Every since I can remember I have wanted to help people. Like most children I wanted to be a Doctor or a Dentist. Growing up my friends and family always told me I was a great listener and had a different way of thinking and seeing situations. I decided I wanted to use those traits to help others outside of my circle. Working with children, teens and their families, I realized that there are people out there who just need a listening ear and the occasional hand in processing their difficulties.
