About Ciera
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 12 years of experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, and life transitions. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain and are seeking clarity, balance, and emotional stability. Many of the people I support are managing relationship challenges, parenting stress, or workplace pressures, and I focus on creating a safe, welcoming space for healing and personal growth.
I hold a master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s needs, blending counseling techniques that support emotional regulation, insight-building, and practical skill development to promote resilience and lasting change.
You deserve a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood without judgment. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop effective coping tools, and work toward meaningful goals. If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I would be honored to support you.

"I see every challenge as an opportunity for growth, and I’m committed to helping you discover the strength and resilience within yourself. My goal is to empower you to harness your inner resources and build confidence as you navigate life’s transitions."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I didn’t initially plan to become a counselor—in fact, I was often encouraged and pushed toward this field despite my own reluctance. Over time, my perspective changed as I faced my own personal struggles and experienced firsthand the value of therapy. That journey helped me truly resonate with the need for mental health support and deepened my desire to help others. Becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor felt like a calling, allowing me to turn my experiences into a source of empathy and guidance for those navigating their own challenges.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, but I especially resonate with older teens and young to mid-adults. This stage of life often brings unique challenges—identity development, career decisions, relationship dynamics, and transitions—that I’m passionate about helping clients navigate with clarity and confidence.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that therapy is not the cliché or ineffective process some cultures, religious groups, or age groups believe it to be. In reality, therapy is a collaborative and personalized experience that can incorporate your values and beliefs while using evidence-based practices. It’s designed to support healing, growth, and empowerment in a way that respects who you are.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll focus on building rapport and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share. I’ll guide an intake process to learn about your background, concerns, and goals. Together, we’ll set expectations, establish a schedule, and begin treatment planning. In the early stages of therapy, the emphasis is on trust-building and goal-setting, so you feel supported and understood. From there, we’ll embark on a personalized journey tailored to your needs, using strategies that help you move toward healing and growth.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by both personal experiences and core values. Having faced my own struggles and benefited from therapy, I understand how transformative a safe, supportive space can be. This journey taught me the importance of empathy, resilience, and authenticity—values I bring into every session. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique stories, and integrating evidence-based practices with respect for personal beliefs. These experiences and values guide me in creating a collaborative, empowering environment where healing and growth are possible.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by starting with a thorough understanding of each client’s background, goals, and preferences. From the first session, we collaborate to identify what matters most to you—whether it’s managing anxiety, improving relationships, or navigating life transitions. I use an eclectic approach, blending evidence-based methods like CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies with respect for your personal values and cultural background. This flexibility ensures that every session feels relevant, practical, and aligned with your unique needs.
