About Christy
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience working in addiction treatment, trauma recovery, and mental health care. I work with adults navigating burnout, identity shifts, grief, and relationship struggles, as well as those seeking clarity after trauma or transition. I support individuals who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected and are ready to rediscover themselves in a space that fosters growth, healing, and self-awareness.
I earned my master’s in social work from the University of Arkansas. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and mindfulness-based, helping clients feel safe enough to explore what hurts and move toward healing. I strive to create a collaborative, honest space with room for humor, compassion, and genuine connection.
If you’re tired of carrying it all alone, you don’t have to anymore. Healing doesn’t require perfection, just the courage to show up as you are. Together, we’ll work toward building a more grounded, authentic life. I’d be honored to walk beside you as you write the next chapter of your story.

"Grounded in my own experiences of trauma, recovery, and queer identity, I support clients with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to heal."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because my own experiences with trauma, addiction recovery, and identity work showed me how powerful compassionate, skilled support can be for rebuilding a life that feels whole. Early in my career I saw how people who’ve been marginalized, shamed, or burned out are often the last to receive care—so I trained and focused my work on addiction treatment, trauma recovery, and supporting queer clients so I could offer a steady, nonjudgmental allyship. I love helping people reclaim agency, build practical tools, and discover the strengths they already carry.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or their purpose. Many of my clients are healing from trauma, navigating recovery, or exploring their identity, including LGBTQ+ individuals and neurodivergent folks. I especially connect with people who are high functioning on the outside but struggling internally, those in life transitions, or those who feel like they’ve outgrown old patterns and want something more authentic. I’m a good fit for clients who value honesty, warmth, and a space where they don’t have to have it all figured out.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish everyone knew that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about understanding what happened to you and learning kinder ways to carry it. Progress isn’t always linear, and you don’t have to be “ready” or have everything figured out to start. It’s okay to show up messy, uncertain, or afraid. Therapy works best when it’s a relationship, not a performance—where you don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of care.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we’ll get to know each other and talk about what brings them to therapy. I’ll ask questions to understand their history, strengths, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than they’re ready for. Early sessions are focused on building trust, making sure clients feel safe and understood, and beginning to map out a plan for healing. We’ll move at a pace that feels respectful of their story—whether that means diving in or taking time to settle in.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by my own experiences with trauma, addiction recovery, and navigating life as a queer woman. These experiences help me approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to heal. I value honesty, collaboration, and creating a space where clients feel safe to show up as they are—without judgment or expectation.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first listening closely to each client’s experiences, strengths, and goals. I combine trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches with practical strategies that fit their life and personality. Whether a client needs support managing anxiety, navigating identity, processing trauma, or building recovery skills, I adapt my pace, style, and tools to create a safe, collaborative space where healing feels achievable and authentic.
