Get to know Chloe

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

Mental health is an important component to our overall health and something many people tend to ignore when times get difficult. I myself have been guilty of that, and it was through my own work in therapy that I recognized my desire to support others as I had been supported. I love learning about people and watching them grow as they learn to navigate life's difficult situations.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work well with clients of all ages who are motivated and willing to try. I encourage clients to try new things, because if the old strategies were working, you probably wouldn't be seeking therapy!

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am excited to work with clients of all ages and mental health concerns! My most prominent experience has been working with children, women, and those experiencing anxiety.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

Our time spent together is a time to be honest, try new things, and grow! Our relationship will be a collaborative one and my goal at the end of our time together is that you feel more confident and have learned something about yourself.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks has so many resources available to clients!

What inspires you?

My clients, my family, and the amazing natural world we live in.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

We will spend some time learning about why you are seeking therapy and our expectations for our time together.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want to earn a clients trust and learn about why they are seeking therapy and why now. I also want to establish what our time together might look like and what our expectations for therapy will be.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

My job is to support you and help you grow, but how much or how little growth you experience also depends on how much work you want to do. I will encourage you to try new things because I want to see you grow and succeed!

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love to run, read, and spend time with my friends and family.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My favorite job in the world is being a mom to my son!
