About Carson
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I've gained professional experience in residential treatment, outpatient settings, emergency mental health, and hospice. I enjoy assisting individuals in coping with life transitions, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
I completed both my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Education in Community Counseling at Lynchburg College. My approach encompasses various techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, and person-centered therapy. I also use relaxation and mindfulness-based techniques.
I value the individuality of each client and ensure therapy is tailored to specific needs and preferences. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to openly express yourself, discover your strengths, and work towards your personal goals.

"With 18 years of experience in the mental health field working with a variety of clientele, I value establishing an authentic connection with my clients and working to meet their individual goals."
