About Caitlin
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 13 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, bullying, crisis management, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, eating disorders, and relationship concerns. I specialize in helping women build confidence, strengthen self-worth, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I hold a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Longwood University. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and holistic approach that integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mind-body practices to support emotional wellness, healthier habits, and balanced daily functioning.
I understand that life can feel overwhelming, and taking the first step toward support takes courage. I strive to create a safe, respectful space where you can explore patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and reconnect with your sense of self. Together, we can work toward balance, confidence, and the life you’ve always wanted.

"As someone who has experienced personal trauma, challenging relationships, and difficulties with body image and food, I am passionate about helping people love themselves again and connect with others on a meaningful level."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have personally struggled with trauma throughout my life in various forms which also caused me to struggle with an eating disorder, anxiety, and challenging relationships. I have lived experience that can help me understand what my clients are going through and provide support, education, and skills to improve.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with motivated clients who are ready to work and improve relationships with others, and their relationships with themselves. I also tend to work well with high acuity and chaotic, anxiety driven clients who may need different approaches to manage symptoms.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients understood that life is a journey and we experience situations that may take time to heal from. I know a lot of clients want to everything to be solved after the first month of therapy but healing from life's challenges is also a journey. Clients need to be patient and can learn a lot from therapy and the healing process that may help them create new healthier relationships with themselves and others.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the first session and early stages of therapy - I like to get to know my clients and develop a positive and supportive rapport, that will assist in working through challenging issues and learning new skills later in therapy.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am a trauma survivor and have also struggled with negative relationships, eating disorder, and anxiety throughout my life. I have learned a lot from working in various settings and my experiences tend to make me more understanding, compassionate and driven to work with clients with similar challenges.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
First, I start by getting to know the client and things that have helped them in the past. I always work from a person-centered approach and incorporate skills and strategies that work for that client.
