My therapist, Beatrice is so wonderful. It's almost like talking to a good friend, I respect her she's a fantastic listener to the point where she remember everybody's name in the conversation and I just can't believe I found such a highly professional therapist. I recommend everyone if they're looking for therapist to look into having Beatrice your therapist.

Get to know Beatriz

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

As a child who immigrated to the USA at a young age, thru trials and tribulations experienced by my family and those around me I discovered therapy as a way to heal and uplift a person's life challenges. This led to my interest in the counseling profession in which I can guide and be a part of other's journeys to improving their quality of life. It is important that I be able to give back to the community and while helping others thru therapy the community also benefits.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I have experience working with adolescents and adults, most of my time in practice has focused on issues of anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and family conflict. If you are ready to make changes or gain insight to what may be affecting your relationships, work, and your mood then we can work together to improve your quality of life.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

As a clinician who practiced with adults and adolescents. I am most excited to work with clients who are motivated to gaining something from therapy and looking to explore any issues they may struggle with.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

I want you to know that you are a major part of the change you want to see. I will be there to support you, give feedback, create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel free to discuss anything you want to address. Through collaborative work you will experience the changes you wish to see

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I chose Thriveworks because I see that they are committed to providing the best services to their clients and clinicians as well.

What inspires you?

My community.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

As a clinician, I want to create an environment where we can work together and meet you where you are at. In our first session we go over what led you to therapy, what your goals are, and your expectations for our work together.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

During our first session we will begin to build rapport, explore goals, expectations for therapy.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Upon scheduling a first session clients should know that this will be a time to get to know one another and explore if we are a good fit.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

In my free time I enjoy learning folkloric dances from my home country and other countries as well, visiting museums, attending visual or performing arts events.
