Why did you decide to become a counselor?
My father is a psychologist and my mother a nurse. I was raised by a family of helpers and it just made sense to go into the field, I never considered anything else.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Motivated clients who are ready to make changes.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
It's hard asking for help and being vulnerable with someone, I respect and honor that in my work with you.
What inspires you?
Kindness and resiliency, a beautiful sunrise/sunset, people becoming the best versions of themselves.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
It's actually not that scary, I just want to get to know you and your goals for therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Help them feel comfortable and answer any questions they have about treatment.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love taking my two labs hiking, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with my daughter.
